Cuba Pension Funding- We are almost there! Please help us complete this campaign by Labor Day!!
As we celebrate the reunification of the Episcopal Church of Cuba with The Episcopal Church, we have the very important task of funding the pensions for the Cuban clergy – which were stripped away from them 50 years ago. The goal of raising $800,000 to fully fund the pension fund is almost complete! Thanks to many donors, we are only $90,000 short of our goal. If you haven’t yet given, there’s still time! We are calling on each and every one of you for your help to get us over the finish line. Please consider a personal donation of any amount. Please speak to your local rector to be sure they have contributed to this important campaign, or to determine if there are additional funds your church or congregation can donate.
As Presiding Bishop Michael Curry has underscored: “I don’t know if I’ve seen a greater example in The Episcopal Church of the dynamism of a movement than this one. People’s energy and passion and commitment- this is an example of the Holy Spirit at work!”. Let’s prove him right and get the pension fund fully funded by Labor Day.
